Culture Days 2019 - Open Rehearsals for Nutcracker

Join us at Fraser Valley Academy of Dance as students prepare to learn and rehearse the enchanting choreography of the Nutcracker! Now in its 12th season in Mission, this full-length ballet has been performed for thousands of audience members.

The challenging patterns and complex steps of the “Snowflakes” and “Waltz of the Flowers” will be on display as these talented young students display their advanced technique and skill in ballet.
Having received over 80 student invitations to prestigious ballet company schools since 2013, the high-calibre training at Fraser Valley Academy of Dance will be on display for all to enjoy!
- 2:30-3:30pm Snowflakes
- 4:30-5:00pm Waltz of the Flowers
Artistic Director, John C. Carney choreographed this version of the Nutcracker in 2005, influenced by his many years dancing professionally with English National Ballet after training full-time in London, England, as a student at the Royal Ballet School.
