[ON HOLD] The Pre-Professional Academy prepares students for professional dance careers with training by former professional classical ballet dancers. Students are assisted with preparations to audition for ballet company schools.
For the most serious dance student, the Pre-Professional Academy (PPA) provides highly specialized training in ballet, pointe, variations, repertoire, boys’ virtuosity, pas de deux, dance history, music appreciation, modern theatre dance, musical theatre, and contemporary ballet.
PPA students perform in The Nutcracker and the Annual Performances, as well as community events throughout the year such as collaborations with Calvin Dyck’s Abbotsford Youth Orchestra and Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra.
PPA students have an exceptional opportunity to be trained by an international staff of former professional dancers from such companies as:
- English National Ballet
