Summer training in 2025

August 27, 2025

An invitation to full-time professional training was received again this year, after summer training in 2025 at ballet company schools.  Several FVAD students successfully auditioned for summer intensives at Chicago’s Joffrey Ballet, Vancouver’s Arts Umbrella and Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto.

Victoria V was invited to the full-time professional program at Grainger Academy, the school of Chicago’s Joffrey Ballet company.  All students have now returned to Mission to continue training with Mr. Carney and his teachers.   Welcome back to all! 🙂

Myla and Hanna enjoyed an exciting summer at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto.

Adriana attended the Arts Umbrella Summer Intensive in Vancouver.

It was lovely to welcome FVAD Alumni Seishiro, Anna and Kaylie who all returned to FVAD this summer. Kaylie is a professional dancer in her sixth year with Ballet Victoria, following a trainee contract with Lexington Ballet in Kentucky.   She trained in FVAD’s pre-professional half-day program before moving to Alberta Ballet School’s professional training program,

Anna also trained in FVAD pre-professional half-day program before moving to Toronto where she graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School and completed their Company Life program.  She is now in her second year with Orlando Ballet II.  She came back for class with Mr. Carney in Mission before returning to Orlando.

Seishiro joined FVAD’s International Student program at 11 years old, and has now graduated high school while attending Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s professional training program.  He came back to FVAD again this summer for coaching with Mr Carney before returning to RWBS to continue his training.
