s_kaylaMiss Kayla has over 20 years of dance and acting experience and has been teaching and choreographing for the past 12 years. Over the years Miss Kayla has performed in several plays and musical including, Annie Get Your Gun, Oliver, The Wizard of Oz, Camelot, Bye Bye Birdie, Switching Places, Laundry and Bourbon and Stepping Out. She continues to fuel her passion of the stage by directing and choreographing such musicals as RENT, Mad Adventures of Mr Toad, 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee, Iolanthe, Spamalot, Wizard of Oz and Grease.

Her training includes an eclectic mix of styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre and acting. She has worked with and trained with well known teachers and choreographers in BC as well as in Los Angeles, even the UK! She has attended Victoria Motion Picture School and completed the 2yr program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (Los Angeles). She has trained at Glendale Community College where she was also a member of their Dance Company and she holds her Associate Diploma (Modern) with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Miss Kayla continues to train and attend workshops and courses to further enhance her teaching career. She is a BCRPA certified Mat Pilates Instructor and is currently working towards her full pilates certification with the Pilates Method Alliance.

Miss Kayla always loved to dance and perform and her love and passion for dance and drama was furthered when she discovered she loved to teach and inspire! Her own growth as an individual came from the world of performing arts and now she loves to share the passion and knowledge that she gained through those experiences.
