Surrey Festival 2025 – 1st place ballet

Congratulations to our Academy students for 1st place in group ballet (14 year olds) and 2nd in group ballet (12 year olds) at the Surrey Festival!  Well done everyone!

How much does it cost for our students to perform in a festival?

We’ve broken it down for you here…

Preparation time: 5.5 hours

• Our students began learning their choreography in 30-minute Festival classes starting in January, and continuing until their performance on April 5th.

Preparation cost: $110

• Each class costs approximately $10, for a total of $110.  It’s approximate because our rates vary depending on the number of hours per week each student takes.

Costume cost: $0

• Costumes are provided at no cost for our performances.  We consider our costume wardrobe to be part of our school’s overhead costs, rather than an extra cost for our customers to pay.

Entry fees: $30

• Surrey Festival group entry fees are $30 for each student.  We have no mark-up on those fees.

Total Cost: $140

• The total investment for our students to perform in a group ballet entry at the Surrey Festival 2025 was 5.5 hours in time and $140 in cost.
