Classes Cancelled Nov 30
November 30, 2021All classes are cancelled today, Tuesday, November 30. We will send out another update for tomorrow’s classes.
Due to the ongoing weather event bringing more heavy rain in our area over the next two days, it is unsafe for people to be on the roads unnecessarily.
- While Mission roads are in good shape generally, part of Hatzic Valley below where we live just received an evacuation order.
- We also have teachers and many families who live in Abbotsford, Maple Ridge, Langley and Surrey, and those journeys will be extremely uncertain by this evening.
We do not wish anyone to drive in unsafe conditions or be concerned in any way about getting home after classes tonight.
- We also do not wish to add traffic to roads needed by emergency and other essential vehicles.
- We will refund tuition for today’s classes to your accounts.
For those who aren’t familiar with them, here are a few very useful sites for emergency information….
- The Alertable app sends you important alerts including road closures, incidents and evacuation information for your local area.
- Find the app wherever you download your device apps
- The EmergencyInfoBC site has lots of links and a very useful map for viewing current situations: https://www.
emergencyinfobc.gov.bc.ca/ - The BC Map Hubs is a handy site for a variety of map-based BC event info: https://governmentofbc.

Please stay safe everyone!
