During Nutcracker 2021 Production Days there are no classes Wednesday through Saturday as the studios are in use for our Nutcracker Rehearsals and Performances.

• Students in the Nutcracker pay a Production fee.
• Students not in the Nutcracker are not charged for any classes in this week.

Fraser Valley Academy of Dance presents the Nutcracker 2021 “ReImagined” plus “Polaris” on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Clarke Theatre in a special collaboration with Mission’s Circus School – Triumph Acrobatic Arts.  

• Matinee: 2pm-4pm
• Evening:  7pm-9pm

COVID-19 Safety Protocols are in effect:

• BC Vaccine Card [Fully Vaccinated] required for entry for ages 12+.
• Masks required indoors for ages 5+.
• Socially-distanced seating blocks 2 seats between each order.
• Theatre seating is limited to 50% capacity.

A true winter tradition in Mission, Artistic Director John C. Carney returns with the Fraser Valley Academy of Dance for its 13th season to the Clarke Theatre on December 11, 2021 to present his newly-modified reduced-for-safety choreography of the Nutcracker ballet.

Having danced many roles in the Nutcracker with English National Ballet every winter season in London during his many years with the company, Mr. Carney brings an in-depth professional knowledge of this full-length classical ballet to this local stage. 

For 2021, the Nutcracker Re:Imagined offers a streamlined one-act ballet with everyone’s favourite dances of the Nutcracker.  Follow Clara into her dream with the mysterious Drosselmeyer, through Snowflakes and across the serene Ocean to the Kingdom of Sweets, where she is presented with the colourful and exciting dances of the Candy Canes, Arabian, Spanish, Chinese, Smarties and Russian accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s imaginative score.

Following the magic of Nutcracker Re:Imagined, our audience will be enchanted by the inspirational acrobatic presentation of Polaris by Mission’s own circus school, Triumph Acrobatic Arts.  With silks and trampolines and awe-inspiring acts in a winter wonderland, we have the ideal partners for our new Re:imagined winter production!

All the family will enjoy the magic of this traditional (now Re:Imagined) winter presentation!
