A true winter tradition in Mission, Artistic Director John C. Carney returns with the Fraser Valley Academy of Dance for its 19th season to the Clarke Theatre on December 12, 2026 to present his re-imagined choreography of his original Nutcracker ballet.
Having danced many roles in the Nutcracker with English National Ballet every winter season in London during his many years with the company, Mr. Carney brings an in-depth professional knowledge of this full-length classical ballet to this local stage.
For 2026, the Nutcracker Re:Imagined offers a one-act ballet with everyone’s favourite dances of the Nutcracker. Follow Clara into her dream with the mysterious Drosselmeyer, through Snowflakes and across the serene Ocean to the Kingdom of Sweets, where she is presented with the colourful and exciting dances of the Candy Canes, Arabian, Spanish, Chinese, Smarties, Trepak and the wonderful Waltz of the Flowers accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s imaginative score.
Our audience will also enjoy a Winter Spectacular pre-show presented by our tap, jazz and modern students. Look out for Polar Bears, Reindeer, Santa, Elves, and more! 🙂

- $38 Adults
- $30 Seniors (65+)
- $26 Students (13+)
- $22 Children (12 & under)
- Children under 2 are free if they do not have their own seat
- Ticketing fees may apply
Tickets
Tickets may be purchased online from October 10 to December 12 at 9am, or at the FVAD Office at 33219 1st Avenue in Mission for an additional fee.
Tickets will also be available at the Clarke Theatre box office (cash only) one hour before the show on December 12.
