Fraser Valley Academy of Dance is very pleased to be taking part in this year’s LamonDance & Friends 2025 Gala in Vancouver.  We have performed at their Galas since 2018.

Our senior ballet students will be performing Mr Carney’s choreography Habanera and Bolero from Carmen.

Surrey Festival 2025 ballet categories will be presented April 5-11, 2025.

FVAD Academy students will be performing in group ballet this year at the Surrey Festival of Dance.

While FVAD does not participate in local competitions in general for numerous reasons, the SFD ballet adjudicators are usually former professional dancers from the classical ballet world, and are often now teachers at prestigious ballet company schools.  In addition, the entry requirement to perform pre-defined set solos, at each age level, assists in setting a base level of ability for all entries.

The associated scholarship awards are often funded invitations to these ballet company schools.  As such, our students are presenting their art form to an accomplished adjudicator with the potential benefit of furthering their training at an established high-level institution.
