We are so pleased to be collaborating again with the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra, performing Carmen excerpts at the Abbotsford Arts Centre on Friday, June 7.
Families of performing students receive one free ticket. Contact the office for yours.
Rehearsals are scheduled for Friday, June 7. Times to be confirmed.
As part of AYO’s June concert, FVAD will perform excerpts of Carmen, choreographed by Artistic Director Mr. Carney, accompanied by Calvin Dyck’s AYO performing Shchedrin’s creative orchestration based on Bizet’s original composition.
It has been 11 years since the original collaboration between FVAD’s director Mr. Carney and AYO’s director Calvin Dyck. They first presented Carmen excerpts in 2013 at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium in Abbotsford.
