A true winter tradition in Mission, Artistic Director John C. Carney returns with the Fraser Valley Academy of Dance for its 14th season to the Clarke Theatre on December 10, 2022 to present his re-imagined choreography of his original Nutcracker ballet.

Having danced many roles in the Nutcracker with English National Ballet every winter season in London during his many years with the company, Mr. Carney brings an in-depth professional knowledge of this full-length classical ballet to this local stage. 

For 2022, the Nutcracker Re:Imagined offers a streamlined ballet with everyone’s favourite dances of the Nutcracker.  Follow Clara into her dream with the mysterious Drosselmeyer, through Snowflakes and across the serene Ocean to the Kingdom of Sweets, where she is presented with the colourful and exciting dances of the Candy Canes, Arabian, Spanish, Chinese, Smarties, Russian and the wonderful Waltz of the Flowers accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s imaginative score.

All the family will enjoy the magic of this traditional (now Re:Imagined) winter presentation!
