Academy Master Classes
April 3, 2019We are very pleased to continue our Academy Master Classes for 2022-23.
ACADEMY PROGRAMS
As part of our expanding Academy offerings, we now offer three distinct programs:
- Junior Academy 2-3
- Senior Academy 4-6
- Pre-Professional Academy 7-10
Each Academy Program provides full training to ensure that students reach their potential, whether that goal is acceptance into a professional ballet company school for dance or teacher-training, or simply to advance furthest in their training.
The Academy Programs begin at Ballet 2 to provide pre-professional training for students with potential for Canada’s National Ballet School, Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and other company-affiliated professional training schools. Students in Junior and Senior Academy are enrolled in special Master Class with Mr. Carney to monitor their progress towards the Pre-Professional Academy when students reach Ballet 7-10.
Academy Master Classes
As part of the Academy program, the Master Classes in ballet provides additional training for students expressing a serious interest in ballet training. Students train with Mr. Carney in advanced techniques beyond their ballet class level, as would occur at major ballet company schools.
Students in Master Class must display a strong focus, dedication and passion for their training. These characteristics may change over the year, so students must be aware that their enrolment will be reviewed throughout the year. Students should always present their best at all times in all classes.
How to enrol in Academy Master Classes
Students enrolled in Junior Academy and Senior Academy are invited to special Master Class with Mr. Carney to monitor their progress towards the Pre-Professional Academy when students reach Ballet 7-10.
Students must be taking all recommended classes in their current ballet level, as defined by the Junior and Senior Academy programs, before being invited into Master Class.
