Re-Opening Plan – Phase 2

In our Re-Opening Plan Phase 2, we will offer in-studio Private Lessons from Saturday, June 6.

In-Studio Private Lessons

During Phase 2, we will offer in-studio private lessons.

• The Private Lessons 2020 schedule will be available this weekend.

• Mr. Carney’s lessons will begin June 6, and Miss Seira’s will begin the following week.

Safety First!

We know many are eager to return to the studios, but we must re-open in a safe and methodical manner.

• Strict procedures will be in place for all areas of our building, and must be followed by everyone.

• Full details of our Phase 2 Safety Plan, Private Lesson Schedule, In-Studio procedures will be made available next week.

Do I need private lessons?

While beneficial, in-studio Private Lessons are entirely optional. 

• Students should not worry that they will fall too far behind if they are only taking online classes.

• While private lessons will help any student who can take them at this stage, they are a temporary stepping-stone to Phase 3’s larger classes.

How much will lessons cost?

We are working hard to balance our school’s need for revenue and the extra costs in re-opening, with our families’ need for affordable classes.

• Private Lessons will cost $60-$80 per hour in-studio.

• Classes for up to 4 students are planned for July at a cost of $25/hr.

• Online Live Classes will also continue at $20/hr.

• Online Recorded Classes continue for free.

FVAD Safety Plans

We continue to prepare the school for our Phase 2 re-opening, and beyond.  

• We are defining COVID-19 Safety Plans for each phase of re-opening.

• Only once we are confident in our Phase 2 Safety Plans, we will move to Phase 3 to introduce multiple students in both studios.

• By progressing one-step-at-a-time, we will be able to monitor and adjust our safety procedures during each phase.

Do online Private Lessons continue?

All classes in the Live Classes 2020 schedule will continue via Zoom during Phase 2, except Saturday private lessons.

• Students who have been taking our classes in Phase 1 will have first-refusal on the available in-studio private lessons.
  
• Students currently taking Saturday online private lessons will be re-scheduled online or refunded, if they cannot take an in-studio lesson.

• Online Private Lessons will continue as space permits in the schedule.
